Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody. ~Brad Montague
Chelsea and I are in full swing with guest arrivals, departures and property turnovers. It’s a fun, busy time of year. We’re fortunate that we had some very talented people answer our ad for cleaners this year (thank you Weekly Packet for helping us design it!). We’re picking up some good turnover tips from them too – yay!)
The guests we have the pleasure of hosting are really nice people. It’s especially rewarding when they return and want to rent from us again – that means a lot.
So here’s the not-so-secret secret. Most people want to be here in July and August, and let’s face it, it’s long been considered the best time of the year to vacation on the coast of Maine. However, if you haven’t checked out September and October – you’re missing out on some great weather. Warm, but not humid, with sunny days and cool nights. The ponds and lakes are still warm enough to enjoy a swim, there aren’t as many visitors, the seasonal businesses are still open, and Acadia National Park isn’t as congested.
It’s also a time when shoulder season rates are in effect and the minimum nightly stay is as low as three nights.
So, take a look at our rental properties and consider a Fall visit to the beautiful Blue Hill Peninsula!
